Privacy Policy
How we handle information on elbelabs.com and in our games and apps. It is short because we collect very little.
Effective 26 September 2026 · Last updated 26 September 2026
In short
- No accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies, on this website or in our games.
- Our games keep your settings and progress on your own device. They do not send them to us.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Stores and platforms handle purchases and platform accounts under their own privacy policies.
- If you email us, we use your message only to answer you, and we delete it on request.
1. Who we are
Elbe Labs is a brand of Digitalis LLC ("we", "us"). Digitalis LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy (in data protection terms, the "controller"). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What this policy covers
- The website elbelabs.com.
- Our games and apps, including Hydroform and Mechanical Keyboarding, in every version we publish: through Steam, the Epic Games Store, Google Play, the Apple App Store and RuStore, and any demo or test build.
- Any other Elbe Labs product that links to this policy.
3. The website
elbelabs.com runs no analytics, shows no ads, and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts, images and scripts are all served from our own server.
It sets one cookie, lang, which holds only the code of the language you read the site in (such as "de"), so that the site opens in that language again. It is set when you choose a language with the language switch, or on your first visit if the site opens in your browser's preferred language. It lasts one year, is sent only to elbelabs.com, and is used for nothing else.
Like every website, our web host (Hostinger) records a standard server log of each request: the IP address it came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, and the host deletes them after a limited period.
4. Our games and apps
- No personal information. The games do not ask for your name, email address, age or any account, and do not collect personal information about you.
- Saved on your device. Settings (such as language, controls and sound) and progress (such as saves and records) are stored locally on your device, in the game's own storage (or, for a demo build that runs in a web browser, in the browser's storage). They are not sent to us. You can remove them at any time; see Your data.
- Demo builds and server logs. A demo build that runs in a web browser loads its files from our server, so the same server logs described in section 3 apply while it loads.
- No ads, analytics or tracking. Our games contain no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software, and do not track you across apps or websites.
- Device permissions. Our games do not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files. Hydroform reads a connected gamepad only to let you play with it, in the game and nowhere else. If a future version ever needs a permission, we will say what it is for, in the store listing and here, before that version is released.
- Online play. None of our games has online play today. If one adds it, we will update this policy first to explain what is exchanged between players and our servers.
5. Stores and platforms
When you get one of our games through a store, the store handles your account, payment, download and any refund, under its own privacy policy. It shares with us only sales and usage reports that do not identify you. If a version uses platform features such as achievements, cloud saves or friends lists, that data is kept in your account on the platform.
- Steam (Valve): Valve Privacy Policy
- Epic Games Store (Epic Games): Epic Games Privacy Policy
- Google Play (Google): Google Privacy Policy
- App Store (Apple): Apple Privacy Policy
- RuStore (VK): RuStore User Privacy Policy
6. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message, and anything you attach, such as screenshots. We use it only to answer you, fix the problem you report, and keep a record of the conversation.
7. Why we may use it
Where the law asks for a reason (for example, the GDPR in the European Union and the UK):
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping our website and games secure and available.
- Support emails: to respond to your request, which is also our legitimate interest.
- Settings and progress on your device: storing them there is strictly necessary to give you the game you chose to play.
- The language cookie: storing it is strictly necessary to show you the website in the language you chose.
8. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled only by:
- our service providers, acting for us and under our instructions: our web host (Hostinger) and our email provider;
- authorities, where the law requires it;
- a successor, if Digitalis LLC's products are transferred to another company, which would then be bound by this policy.
9. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept |
|---|---|
| Server logs | A limited period set by our web host, then deleted |
| Settings and progress | On your device, until you delete them or uninstall the game |
| Language cookie | In your browser for one year, or until you delete it |
| Support emails | As long as needed to resolve your request, and no more than two years after the last message; deleted sooner if you ask |
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (European Union and UK), the CCPA (California) and Federal Law No. 152-FZ on Personal Data (Russia) give you rights over your personal information: to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Because our games keep your data on your own device, you can also delete it yourself at any time; here is how.
California: we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we do not use sensitive personal information.
11. Children
Our games are made for everyone, children included. They collect no personal information from anyone and show no advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If a child has emailed us, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete the message, and we will.
12. Transfers and security
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, they do so under appropriate safeguards. Our website and games are served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we keep the information we hold to the minimum described here.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what a game collects, we will make it here before the version that needs it is released.
